I picked up a pair of Bushnell Falcon Binoculars at Target last year prior to going to Maine on a camping trip. I have been very pleased with the binoculars and my family and I actually use them quite often. We take them with us for bird sighting when we go mountain biking. We also bring them with us to events like concerts.
The kids like to use them to look out the window in to the back yard so they can see squirrels and birds. The binoculars are fairly light weight and easy to use.
At the time I think I paid $40 and I think that is pretty reasonable considering the amount of use we’ve gotten out of them. I have never used them in the rain but we have used them in the snow to look at birds in our back yard and they work great.
I don’t think they fogged up at all and it was definitely below 30 when we were outside. They are light enough to be comfortable for my husband and I but the kids get tired after holding them for a few minutes.
After a year I can honestly say that we don’t even have one scratch on the glass lenses, which is pretty impressive considering they’ve been man-handled by a one year old and three year old. I feel like these binoculars have really good sighting but that a more expensive pair might zoom in even more.
For the money, though, I am definitely happy!
