My favorite binoculars are the Nikon Monarch 10×42 binoculars. I think they are 10×42, at least. They are coated in what is called “dielectric coating”. I bought these from academy sports and outdoors when winter was rolling in this year for an awesome price.
I live in South Carolina on the savannah river. I hunt ducks on many lakes, ponds, rivers and creeks. These binocs are amazing when it comes to focusing in on the ducks that are flying really high and far away. Of course they are water-proof.
The only thing I do not like about them is that they do not come in any color but black (at least not where i bought them.) I wish they came in camo. Never used for sporting events, but i like to bring them in any boat ride or hike in the woods. These binoculars are also the ATB model, which means that they are more rugged and more durable than the existing models. I have never had a problem with the binoculars fogging up on me and i have been in the most trying conditions. The nocs also have awsome color. When i am trying to scout ducks preseason, i need to know exactly what kind of ducks are fyling by.
These give undefined color resolution that i have never seen matched by any other brand. The weight is perfect when you are trying to follow animals, or just pan around the scape. The on ething that i really hate about them is that the eye pieces that you put your face up to do not fit my eye sockets what so ever. any one i have let use them has no trouble with this, but maybe my face is just shaped diffent.
But overall i would reccomend these nocs to anyone for any purpose. I bought these at academy for 206.88 and it has been my best purchase in a very long time.
