My name is Shin S, and my geographic location is Hawaii. I am an avid birdwatcher, and have had many binoculars in the past, but by far my favorite binocular has to be the Swift Reliant 8×40 Porro Binoculars 747 w/ FREE UPS.
They are very heavy and rugged, but comes in a nice binocular case, has a large dial in the center to adjust the width of the binoculars.
The sensation of holding this pair of binoculars similar to holding onto those paid binoculars that are set up on tour spots, if not better, since you can lug them around. It also comes with a strap that you can wear around your neck, so that it wouldn’t fill up your hands when you’re trekking up mountains.
When you’re done with the binoculars, you can simply put caps on the lenses so that they won’t get scratched. Most cheap binoculars omit this feature, but it is probably the most important feature of all. After all, if the lenses ever get scratched, it will affect your vision quality with the binocular forever.
The large dial for the focus adjustment is easy to use even when you are wearing bulky gloves, perfect for high altitude mountain birdwatching/sightseeing in which case you would want to wear cozy, bulky gloves to keep your hands from freezing.
The lens also has anti-reflective coating which helps when there is sunset or sunrise, as it reduces the glare from the sunlight while using this binocular. The padded leather case prevents the binocular from wear and tear, and deterioration, something that regular binoculars don’t have.
