I have very old Bushnell Binoculars, model 13-7125, that belonged to my dad that are definitely my favorites. They are really nice binoculars that you can tell are obviously older because several of the pieces that come with them are really nice quality.
The lens caps are not flimsy and the case is really heavy duty. I have never purchased binoculars because these are so good. There are no scratches on the lens and focus is still perfect.
I primarily use them when I go to sporting events. I like to take them when I go to see professional football and baseball. At the baseball game I use them to watch what is going on in the dugout. I also can see the base coaches up close and if I am sitting in the right place I can see into the bullpen. I took them to Wrigley Field once when I was in high school and you could see the score board operator changing the score on the board.
They allow me to see a lot more of the game and they are powerful enough that they bring the action up close even from the upper deck. For football games they are perfect because the only seats you can get without season tickets are in the upper deck so the action is really small. I typically watch the game through them and it is like sitting at the 50 yard line right behind the bench.
The only part that is not so good is that they are really heavy and so it can get really hard to hold them up to your eyes for most of a game. Carrying them around the stadium is not bad though because they have a nice shoulder strap on them that allows you to take them along with no problem.
This spring and summer I am going to start doing some bird watching so it will be neat to see how well they work in that setting. But the bottom line is that I love my Bushnell binoculars!
